Black & Veatch Telecommunications Division was retained by MFN to provide project management, construction management, and construction services for fiber optic laterals throughout the DC area. Black & Veatch Telecommunications Division has been retained by MFN to design, procure, and install fiber optic laterals for their dark fiber network configurations and client contracts.

Black & Veatch Telecommunications Division provided the following services:

• Prepared detail plan / profile drawings in AutoCAD.
• Placed required HDPE duct systems by trenching and directional boring.
• Core bored into manholes and buildings.
• Performed duct proofing.
• Installed fiber cable in innerduct using blowing and pulling techniques.
• Installed locate tracer wire.
• Coordinated construction and traffic permits.
