Security Countermeasures at Mount Rushmore
To
minimize the threat of possible acts of vandalism or terrorist attacks,
the National Parks Service has implemented all 45 countermeasures that
Black & Veatch proposed as a security study of the historic site. Because
thousands of tourists visit the landmark each day, the project required
that we develop measures that would permit access, ensure public safety
and protect the monument.
