Security Design

Overview

For more than 40 years, Black & Veatch has successfully designed security systems for government clients. These designs include countermeasures to the threats of terrorism, theft, drug trafficking, vandalism, information loss and violent crime. Prior to 9/11, Black & Veatch Special Projects Corp. was the only contractor outside the military to be certified and experienced to perform Anti-Terror and Force Protection planning and design for the Departments of Defense and Energy. Experience ranges from the design of sophisticated systems used to protect critical nuclear components to cost-effective security measures employed in public schools.

Black & Veatch works closely with clients to ensure highly effective security systems custom-designed for their needs. For clients that do not have an explicit security implementation plan, Black & Veatch can conduct independent studies to establish such a road map. As an independent consultant unaffiliated with any equipment manufacturer, Black & Veatch's objective focus is to provide cost-effective solutions while avoiding unnecessary or inappropriate security measures.
