Black & Veatch has been providing hazardous waste site investigation and study services since 1978. Black & Veatch has completed these environmental and hazardous waste services from studies to closure at 210 National Priority List (NPL) sites, including 43 on the current federal facilities list.

We have completed over 92 preliminary assessments, 125 site inspections, 75 hazardous rank scorings, 50 remedial investigations, 50 feasibility studies and 100 human and ecological risk assessments. Constituents of concern have covered a wide range, including petroleum hydrocarbons, solvents, pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polynuclear aromatic hydorcarbons, lead-based paint, asbestos, explosive compounds, dioxin and low level radiation. Staff includes a diverse mix of scientists, engineers and technicians who perform all necessary studies and investigations to adequately characterize the nature and extent of contamination to support risk management decisions and progress to site closure.
