Black & Veatch manages major environmental restoration programs for a number of key federal agencies, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE). The company performed one of the first environmental remediation projects for USACE in 1978 and was selected as one of the first three EPA Superfund (interim) contractors in 1980.
