William J. Kemp Joins Black & Veatch as Part of Enterprise Management Solutions DivisionHauppauge, NY. (December 13, 2005) - R.J. Rudden Associates, a Black & Veatch company, announced today that William J. Kemp has joined the company as a Managing Director, with responsibilities for advising clients on critical financial, economic, and regulatory business issues. Kemp also will play a leadership role in helping Black & Veatch with its continued focus on mergers and acquisitions in the management consulting area. “Bill embodies the essence of the knowledge and experience we strive to bring to every client,” stated Richard Rudden, Senior Vice President and Energy Sector Lead for Black & Veatch’s Enterprise Management Solutions (EMS) business of which R.J. Rudden Associates is a part. “We are very pleased to add Bill, and his 25 years of high-level industry and consulting experience to our staff of professionals.” Kemp’s experience spans a wide range of clients, including some of the largest electricity and gas companies in the world, many governments, and leading suppliers of technology to the electricity industry, major investment firms, and law firms. Additionally, he has testified as an expert witness before federal and state regulatory agencies in the U.S., domestic and foreign arbitration panels, the U.S. International Trade Commission, civil courts, and foreign governments. Kemp formerly served as one of three managing partners for a worldwide consulting practice in the energy and utilities industry. He has played important roles in electricity industry restructuring efforts in the U.S., U.K., Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, China, and South Africa. In addition, he has directed more than 200 projects in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, risk management, marketing and trading, competitive positioning, re-engineering/cost management, financial management, and litigation support.
