BV Solutions Group Introduces Ground Visibility SolutionNew technology increases the security and accountability of clients’ mobile assets. Kansas City, Mo. (July 5, 2005) – BV Solutions Group, a global IT service provider and subsidiary of Black & Veatch Corporation, announced today the availability of Ground Visibility Solutions (GroundVIS), a new, ground-based transportation tracking and management system that enables clients to track the location of their mobile assets, such as trucks and trailers, in real-time as well as monitor access to shipping containers through the use of electronic seals. GroundVIS services the transportation industry by tracking and managing mobile resources and vehicle routes in real time through the use of global positioning satellite (GPS)-enabled cell phones and back office software developed by Agilis Systems, Inc. of St. Louis, Mo. Using the system, clients will be able to track the location of trucks, trailers and mobile assets from points-of-origin to drop-off or load points. In addition, GeoFencing technology generates alerts to users when a mobile resource enters or leaves a user-defined area. “GroundVIS provides real-time monitoring and risk management of ground-based, mobile assets,” said Gerald J. White, president of BV Solutions Group. “Our alliance with Agilis Systems in developing GroundVIS provides BV Solutions Group with the opportunity to develop tailor-made solutions for our transportation clients.” The GroundVIS solution will be introduced at Expologistica 2005, a transportation logistics conference in Mexico City on July 5-7.
