The Gas, Oil & Chemicals Division of Black & Veatch has executed cogeneration projects ranging from 10 to 300 MW and 75,000 to 1,200,000 lb/hr of steam produced. Our experience includes combustion turbines fueled by gas and steam turbines using steam generated in boilers fueled by waste materials such as RDF and waste coal (Gob).

The Gas, Oil & Chemicals Division's cogeneration work scope includes the turbine generator, boiler or heat recovery system, substation and water treatment facilities. Permitting and licensing support activities are also provided. The entire scope, including project management, engineering, procurement, scheduling, cost control, quality assurance and construction are performed entirely by Gas, Oil, & Chemicals Division personnel. Black & Veatch specialists in gas turbines, electrical equipment and high voltage transmission are included as part of the project team. Personnel from Black & Veatch's Energy Engineering & Construction Division are available for consultation on an as required basis. This joint effort takes advantage of the best expertise available to assure the best possible outcome for the project and owner.

The depth of Black & Veatch's experience includes 15 cogeneration projects, 30-plus gas turbine projects and over 100 power generation projects. In addition to engineering services, thirty five of these projects included construction.
